Reunion and Annual Meeting of the Membership

Picnic

All members of the Kindred were called to gather in person for the 120th Annual Meeting of the Membership, Sunday, August 17, 2025 at The Stetson Homestead, 83 Stetson Shrine Lane, Norwell, MA. See details as provided in the “call letter“. David Gifford reported that 15 “members of the Stetson Kindred, along with spouses, children and grandchildren gathered at the Norwell Homestead on a sunny, warm third Sunday of August 2025 for the 120th Stetson Kindred of America Reunion. The homestead was in good condition with a new roof having been installed last year and the field was freshly mowed thanks to Matt Dyer. Among the 40 or more people present the youngest was 6-year-old Maren Hopey, a member of the Cavicchi family who had the largest family group with 20 people present. They were presented with a gift basket. The oldest members in attendance were Susan Stetson Clarke and Robert Vaughan, both 83. The newest member present, attending for the first time was Amy Tanner who also came the farthest, travelling from San Francisco, California. David Stetson Gifford and his wife Linda from Welland, Ontario, Canada were also in attendance proving that we are an international organization. The group photo was taken by Matt Dyer using a drone, a first for the Kindred.”

Note: “The Call”, announcing the convening of the Annual Meeting of the Membership and including Reservation forms, is mailed in mid-July to all members and associate members of record in good standing.  Reunion invitations are not mailed to members who are two or more years in arrears in their dues. If you are not sure of your member status or have recently moved, please contact the Membership Secretary.
